LISA
BRIEF HISTORY: Lisa was always a stray but she was lucky to have had a family who took her in and looked after her despite their financial difficulties.

However they had to recently move away from the island. Unfortunately they weren’t able to relocate Lisa with them which means now she was left with no one to look after her in an area that was unsafe for dogs. Lisa is now safe at the Lanta Animal Welfare centre and she is waiting for her #foreverfamily

CHARACTER: Lisa has so much love for people despite her “stray past.” Not only that, she gets along very well with other dogs as well. She is a playful young dog who is well behaved and full of affection.

YEAR OF BIRTH: June 2014

  SHEP
BRIEF HISTORY: We were contacted by a local restaurant after Shep arrived on their door step looking thin and lost. The restaurant that was originally looking after her had closed for low season and just left her to fend for herself. We took her to LAW to be sterilised but couldn’t put her back because the area where she was from was not the safest with all resorts closed for the low season. She is now part of the adoption program and looking for her forever home.

CHARACTER: Shep is filled with tons of energy! Extremely playful and loves going on walks. We are currently doing basic training with her, but like any puppy, she will need someone to continue this with her once she is in the home. She is great with other dogs and has no issue with cats.

APPROX YEAR OF BIRTH: 2015

  NOODLE
BRIEF HISTORY: She was abandoned by construction workers on the island when she was only 3 months old. CHARACTER: She now loves to be around, people. She’s good with kids and is also fine around cats. She normally likes to lie around and chill but still likes to play and run when in the mood. She gets on fine with most dogs and although normally a quiet one, she knows exactly how to put most of the younger dogs in her pack in their place when they are misbehaving. She is a petite medium size  APPROX YEAR OF BIRTH: 2005

TAMMY  -Fostered in the UK looking for a #foreverfamily
BRIEF HISTORY: Tammy was born a beach dog. She had an idyllic, carefree life catching fishes and crabs in low season and living off scraps and treats from tourists in high season. Tammy was rescued by LAW in 2014 after she was stabbed in both front legs by a local, when she chased a running cat – no worries she is all fixed up now ;o) CHARACTER: Tammy has become very affectionate with humans, in fact so much that she jumps the walls in the dog areas to be with the volunteers. She is easy going with other dogs male, female, any size or shape. Tammy is energetic and would win any agility competition. She loves to run, swim, and play, but most of all be loved by people, so if she had to decide between a snuggle or a run, the snuggle would be 1st choice. Tammy really needs to find her forever home very soon, as she is unhappy as a shelter dog. We are willing to reduce adoption costs, just to see her happy. She is 13 kg, fit and medium size.
APPROX YEAR OF BIRTH: 2012
  PUIY
BRIEF HISTORY: Her name means ‘chubby’ in Thai, however Puiy has lost a lot of weight since we named her! Dumped on the road along with her three sisters as a puppy, she had problems with her teeth and lost most of the front ones. She’s the only survivor of the litter; her sisters died of parvo disease. CHARACTER: Always quiet and calm. Very obedient and will come to you when you call her.
