We have around 50 cats at Lanta Animal Welfare, available for adoption. Below is just a small selection.

ARIA
Born: Early 2014
Background:
 Little Aria was hit by a car and suffered serious head trauma with severe neurological issues. Her chances of survival were slim, but over the following days, she fought her way back to life. She is now well and looking for a new home.
Character: Very playful and loving. She’s small in stature but will make a great family pet.
Health: Now good, sterilized and undergoing vaccinations.
POLLY
Born: Late 2015
Background:
 Polly came in as a tiny kitten and was looked after by one of our volunteers who were here at the time she was growing up.
Character: Sweet, loving cat, Polly likes hanging out with the rest of her friends. She gets on with other cats and likes also exploring
Health: Good, sterilized and vaccinated.
ANTIRI
Born: 2015
Background: Antiri with her sister were found as very young kittens by a couple in a ditch in the rain. Sadly the rescuers had to leave to Europe and were not able to take the kittens with them so the sisters stayed at the centre since there was no one to take them in.

Luckily Antiri’s sister got adopted to Germany but Antiri is still here waiting to find the family that will take her home.

Character: Antiri was always the most adventurous and with now her sister gone she has learnt to be even more braver. She loves trying to sneak inside the centre and giving us a chase for a few seconds.

She is a free spirit but with the need for regular belly rubs!

Health: Good, sterilized and vaccinated.

LOUISE                                          

Born: 2012


Background: 
Thelma, Louise and Lola were strays brought over from Lanta Noi by local people who wanted them sterilised. However what they didn’t want was to take them back again. They were subsequently never claimed and joined the LAW family.  

Character: Louise is a big fan of chilling out and enjoying the easy life.  A bit timid she is sweet and affectionate cat who craves for some loving and petting.

Health: Good, sterilized and vaccinated.

 

BRULEE
Born: Late 2011
Background:
 Abandoned outside the centre, suffering from a bad skin condition, she was treated and is now back in great health, looking for a loving, new home.
Character: Sweet, loving cat, Brulee normally likes to be on her own away from trouble.
Health: Good, sterilized and vaccinated.
KARIN-was adopted locally in March 2016
Born: Early 2014
Background: 
Karin and her 4 kittens were brought to us for neutering but the owners never came back for them. They were moved away from other cats to safeguard them from disease, and fostered by the LAW staff. All her babies got adopted but Karin is still here waiting to charm someone into giving her home.
Character: Beautiful but dominant, she is best on her own. She’ll follow you around wanting to be centre of attention. She has her a fun side too and will try to play with you as you pass by.
Health: Good, sterilized and fully vaccinated.
Molly MOLLY-adopted locally June 2016
Born: Approx. 2006
Background:
Found by one of our volunteers on the beach, she had been poisoned, either accidentally or deliberately, and was having very bad seizures, and losing consciousness. She was brought in for emergency treatment and thankfully responded well. No one came to claim her so she has been here ever since.
Character: Friendly charmer, who loves cuddles.
Health: Good. Sterilized and vaccinated.
FLORA MAY
Born: Approx. 2015
Background: Flora May came in with a bad bad case of the cat flu. She was once owned whose owners abandoned her at the center while on treatment. She almost did not make it but she bounced back and hasn’t looked back since then.

Character: Flora May is one character that will make an impression on you when you come to the centre. Often seen around the reception area and coming over to welcome you sometimes when you visit us.Her confidence is unmistakable. After coming so close to death she knows life is short to settle for anything less than the best.

Health: Good. Sterilized and vaccinated.

DAISY
Born: Approx. 2010Background: Daisy and her sister were found one morning dumped on the floor in our isolation unit. They were about 6 weeks old. Her sister was adopted locally but Daisy is still waiting to find a new home.Character: Very sweet, quiet and affectionate. She moved herself to the newly built staff accommodation and now loves to snooze preferably on a shelf with clothes on. Happiest on her own.

Health: Good. Sterilized and vaccinated.
